My name is Julie, I am a proud mother of four grown up children and nan to one wonderful grandson. My family and my work are both very important to me. I have worked in health and social care for around 28 years. My career started as a childminder when my own children were young so I could continue to be at home as much as possible when my children were growing up. When my children started school I went to work at a day centre for adults with physical disabilities, I have supported adults and children from all walks of life and varying physical disabilities as well as learning disabilities. I have been registered and supported people living in adult placement. I am now following my passion of supporting people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions to live independently in their own homes and very much enjoy watching our clients flourish as they develop new skills and grow in confidence.
